Nagni Temple

Nagni Temple is a very famous religious destination for the tourist in the city. It is at a distance of 16 km from the city of Pathankot but can be reached easily by public transport also. The temple is devoted to the Goddess of snakes. A huge fair is organized here every Saturday in the month of August.

Nurpur Fort

The fort was originally known as Dhameri fort, built before the 10th century. It was the main seat of the Pathanian kings, which was destroyed partially by Britishers and Earthquake in April 1905 AD. It was founded by Raja Basu and the temple is devoted to Lord Krishna. Visitors can learn the past of this fort from the paintings painted inside the temple. Nurpur fort is almost destroyed but there are some noticeable carved sculptures that tell a lot about its history.

Shahpurkandi Fort

Located in the region of Pathankot, Shahpurkandi Fort is a famous historical place for visitors, especially for history enthusiasts. The Fort was constructed by the Rajput Chief, Jaspal Singh Pathania in the year 1505 AD. It is located at a distance of 26 km from Pathankot which is situated in the lower region of the Himalayas. Presently, the Fort is used as a rest house.

Ranjit Sagar Dam

Ranjit Sagar Dam, 17 km away from Pathankot city center, is built across River Ravi for power generation, irrigation and drinking water supply. The dam a joint venture of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh is a symbol of interstate co-operation. Ranjit Sagar Dam is also known as Thein Dam.
