Under the Indian Income Tax Act of 1961, the TDS i.e. Tax Deducted at Source is a means of collecting income tax in India. Any payment covered under these provisions shall be paid after deducting prescribed percentage. It has a great importance while conducting tax audits.   4. Provide your provisional receipt number in the second field.

  6. Your TDS refund status will then be displayed on the screen.
