One of the issues that many users came up with is while logging in. Even after entering the correct username and password, you will encounter Database error, which appears like this –
DIGILOCKER FORGET PASSWORD ERROR
We also witnessed the problem in resetting the password. While logging in, we missed the password and tried to reset it. Clicking on the option “Forget password” link will open up a page where you are asked to enter your Aadhaar card number, or you will also notice a link below that says to reset the password using the number if not connected with Aadhaar card. When we tried using that option, and to our surprise, it gives an error saying that the number is not registered.
The thing that struck the most is that we have previously logged in many times.
It is a primary concern that any national service required extensive testing before going live. It is the job of technical people to make sure that everything goes fine. Also, being a govt. Portal one can’t expect such problems. These issues usually take place in a small site that uses cheap servers and bad coding.
Problems can arise anywhere anytime, but problem management is another thing. If the same error is on the website for more than 24 hours, it inevitably raises questions. So, it’s hardly bearable for people; all one can do is wait and see when the site starts working properly again.
